The Mission
The mission of Woodland Hills is nothing other than that which Jesus first gave his church: make disciples who make disciples.
The Vision
The vision of Woodland Hills Christian Church is to connect people to Christ and one another.
Foundations
Glorify
In all things, we are to Glorify God. The first step in making disciples is understanding our place in the story. Jesus is Lord and sovereign over all and our response should be praise.
For great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised. Psalm 96:4
Gather
Gather
We were created to live in relationship with other believers. The church was designed to gather together and spur one another on in knowledge and praise of Jesus. This is done corporately when worshipping together and in small groups where we grow in our relationship with God and sharpen one another.
And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. Acts 2:42
Grow
The will of God is our sanctification. We are on this never ending journey of spiritual growth. We never arrive. We are always growing in likeness to Christ. Our perfection is not made real until the day Jesus returns. We sanctify ourselves through the Word and walking in step with the Spirit.
For this is the will of God, your sanctification. 1 Thessalonians 4:3.
Go
Making disciples requires us to go out into "our Jerusalem," where we work, play, and have influence. We start in our homes with our families. We show hospitality by welcoming others in to see how we do life. This will look different for everyone, but we are all called to be light bearers, carrying the light of Christ with us as we go tell the greatest love story ever told.
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth. Acts 1:8
