Local Outreach
The Backpack Ministry seeks to identify and feed hungry children in Washington County. Almost half the children in Washington County are on free or reduced lunches. When they go home for the weekend, snow days, or holidays, many of them go hungry until they return to school. We will be providing food for weekly distribution to children who are eligible. Download the information brochure to find out more about how you can help, or contact Susan Link (backpackministry@whcc.info) or Mike Mitchell (mmitchell@whcc.info) for more information.
Ecumenical Faith (EFiA) in Action, has created a network of congregations with programs of trained volunteers who provide support, assistance, education and referral to people in the community whose circumstances leave them with significant social, mental or physical needs. EFiA has helped more than 400 individuals with more than 100 volunteers
