Elementary
Through our elementary program our goal is for every child to understand three truths by fifth grade:
- I can trust God no matter what
- To make wise choices
- To treat others the way I want to be treated
Luke 2:52 says “And Jesus grew in wisdom, and stature and in favor with God and men.” We seek to develop God’s children in the same way. During the first worship hour, students will participate in Kid’s Bible Fellowship where they learn a weekly Bible story. The message of this story is reinforced with games, crafts and activities. During the second hour of worship, the children gather in the Jammin’ Jesus Jungle where they experience God through worship designed just for their age. They also participate in the offering of gifts, communion and learning the weekly Bible story through interactive teaching. For further discussion the children form small groups of 7-10. In these groups they build lasting relationships through trust in one another and their leader.
Wednesday Night Bible Study: From 7-8pm. An opportunity for fellowship, fun and more learning with friends your child’s age. Join us as we expand on the lessons taught on Sunday and learn skills like discipleship, worship, service and fellowship. The presentation of these lessons is designed to meet them just where they are so that kids can experience God in a meaningful way.
Events, Activities & Conferences: Throughout the year Woodland Hills offers enriching experiences for elementary students like memorable conferences, trips to camp, musicals, and more. Stay connected to hear about our next event or sign up to help chaperone.
